"Keepers have noted a calming down of the calf and April carrying everything a bit towards the rear", the zoo wrote in an update.

The zoo shared an adorable photo captured last summer of the lovers extending their slick black tongues as they fight over a guest's carrot offering. They said the calf had been performing "giraffe karate". The live stream has around 80,000 people watching at most times.

Almost 90,000 people were watching April as the sun beamed Sunday morning.

This will be April's fourth calf and the first for the father, Oliver. Cold weather has kept April and her mate, Oliver, cooped up inside. The zookeepers have noticed some significant changes and say that April has made great progress in these last few days (week?) of her pregnancy.

Giraffes are pregnant for 15 months, according to Animal Adventure Park. Thousands upon thousands of commenters voiced their frustration on Facebook and YouTube, and the stream was restored within an hour or so.

Israeli coalition crisis raises threat of new elections
It was Netanyahu himself who originally pressed to replace the Israel Broadcasting Authority, but he had a change of heart, saying it should be overhauled rather than replaced.

April is 15 years old and has previously birthed three calves; she has never lost a calf nor had a stillborn - an impressive run of reproductive success.

In touching scenes, the mother-to-be is filmed napping peacefully with her extended back on to the belly as she prepares to give birth at The Animal Adventure Park in Harpusville, upstate NY.

A giraffe calf, born June 21, roams the enclosure at Brookfield Zoo on July 2, 2013 in Brookfield, Illinois.

April the giraffe may also lose her appetite before going into labor, which is another thing to look out for over the next few days.
