Arsenal are in danger of sliding out of contention for a top-four finish and Wenger, whose last Premier League title was 13 years ago, said: "We have a big fight, I agree with you and it could be very hard now". It will not necessarily be linked with the top four because I've done that 20 times.

The Frenchman's contract expires in the summer, and with the Emirates club now on the worst run they have experienced under more than two decades of Wenger's leadership, speculation is mounting that he could step aside at the end of the campaign.

Although a 3-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday night severely dented their hopes of finishing inside the Premier League's top four, Wenger indicated to reporters that he had come to a decision on whether or not to stay at Arsenal. "Financially, I mean. Of course, on the sporting front it would be a blow, but financially the Champions League does not have the impact any more that it had five or six years ago because of the influx of the television money (to the Premier League)".

"I give my best".

Only time will tell Wenger's fate, but the next few rounds are crucial in his employment status at Arsenal Football Club.

"I watch the game, I do not watch the stands during the game", a defiant Wenger said. Everybody has to look at himself.

Juventus' Massimiliano Allegri is the bookmakers' favourite to be the next Arsenal manager.

"They are a team going through the motions and they don't care whether the manager is there or not". Arsenal were second-best in every department on Saturday bar one - possession.

"Dawson scored two and we worked on that in training".

Alan Shearer on Match of the Day accused Arsenal of defending like an "Under-10 team".

"They play a zonal defence from corners". I am trying to find one positive from that, but I can't find it. We only want more respect for the manager on and off the pitch.

Robson-Kanu, who scored the second goal against Arsenal after coming on as a substitute, said West Brom would try to build on their victory at fifth-placed Manchester United on April 1 after the worldwide break.
