Cowboys re-sign backup QB Kellen Moore

Tony Romo trade rumors for trade or release next month

The Dallas Cowboys have turned to a familiar face in an effort to acquire backup quarterbacks for starter Dak Prescott. In three games, Moore completed 61 of 104 passes for 779 yards, four touchdowns, and six interceptions.

The club officially announced the agreement on Monday.

Moore likely would have been the Cowboys starter in the season opener last season had he not suffered a broken leg during training camp.

Moore and Romo's injuries led to rookie quarterback Dak Prescott taking on the starting quarterback role, where he would go on to lead the Dallas Cowboys to the NFC East division crown and the first overall seed in the NFC playoffs.

The deal is for one year, ESPN reported.

Pope begs forgiveness for church role in Rwanda genocide
About half of Rwandans are Catholic, but since the genocide many have turned to pentecostal churches. An apology was also sought for the fact that many killings actually took place in Catholic churches.

The Cowboys brought in veteran Josh McCown for a visit, but opted to retain Moore, though McCown could still be in the mix.

One of the main reasons that the Dallas Cowboys trade rumors haven't evolved into something is that Tony Romo's contract is a bad one for any team.

A company partly owned by Tony Romo is making a third attempt at a fan-centric fantasy football event featuring the soon-to-be-former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, longtime teammate Jason Witten and other NFL players.

Moore signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2012 following a record-setting career at Boise State.

Terms of the team were not disclosed.
