The House Intelligence Committee will hear from FBI Director James Comey on whether USA officials believe Russian Federation tried to bolster Trump's chances in the election and if there were any connections between Moscow and Trump's campaign aides.
The President has defiantly refused to back down from his explosive claim that Barack Obama wiretapped his phones.
The same hearing also heard no physical wiretapping was carried out on Trump Tower but it was possible "other surveillance activities" were used.

Any lack of detail from Mr Comey would likely be contrasted with public comments he made previous year when closing out an investigation into Mrs Clinton's email practices and then, shortly before election day, announcing that the probe would be revived following the discovery of additional emails.
Trump is obviously very sensitive about this, so on the very morning when the House is having a hearing on the Russian involvement, Trump pulled out his preemptive blame Democrats card.
Comey has been invited to testify, along with the director of the National Security Agency, Michael Rogers.
