Indian government had declared Islamic Research Foundation (IRF), an NGO run by Zakir Naik, an unlawful organization under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).

Naik, who is said to be staying in Saudi Arabia to evade arrest after some perpetrators of the Dhaka terror strike past year claimed they were inspired by him, has been booked along with unnamed officials of IRF for promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony besides various sections of UAPA.

The NIA is probing several cases against Naik.

"Naik has transferred huge amount of money from his foreign bank accounts to his bank accounts in India in last few years".

According to a rough estimate, the market value of these properties are somewhere around Rs 100 crore, NIA official was quoted by HT in January 2017.

Of Naik's 21 properties, 13 are in Mumbai's Mazgaon area.

Bernstein reiterated an "outperform" rating on shares of MGM Resorts International in a research report on Friday, December 2nd. The company reported $0.11 earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter, missing analysts' consensus estimates of $0.20 by $0.09.

NIA has issued another notice to controversial Islamic preacher asking him to appear before it for questioning on March 30. Act (UAPA) have also been slapped on him.

Dr Naik, who is under scanner over alleged terror-related activities, had recently refuted all such allegations and claimed that he is instead a messenger of peace. He is also the founder of the "comparative religion" Peace TV channel.

NIA and Mumbai police had also carried out searches at 10 places in the megapolis previous year, including residential premises of some of the office bearers of a foundation run by Naik. "I only deliver a message of peace to people".

Speaking on five-year ban on his organisation IRF and prosecution on terrorism charges, Naik said, "I ask the Indian government to prosecute me in an worldwide court or in Malaysia".

The Delhi High Court, however, on March 16 dismissed the plea by Naik-led IRF against an immediate ban and freezing of accounts of the organisation.
