While nothing is set in stone yet, the iPhone 8 is shaping up to be one of the most impressive and groundbreaking iPhone releases yet. (NASDAQ:AAPL) rumor mill today is news of the iPhone 8's design. This meant that the front and back will have an all glass design along with a curved display.
As for the AR glasses that Apple is reportedly planning to bring to market, the paper believes that they will have to be tethered to the iPhone, much like the Apple Watch. For its back, the device is said to feature a 3D glass material, which would make it resemble the original iPhone's case. Apple, of course, will put its own spin on what we've seen already, likely mixing designs from the iPhone 4 and iPhone 7.
There has also been speculation that the 2017 iPhone will be celebrated and introduced as a 10th anniversary device, and in that light, an homage to the original iPhone makes some sense, but these design rumors should be viewed with some skepticism until confirmed by additional sources. Despite adopting an OLED display for the first time, Apple won't have a curved display like the Galaxy Edge.
