Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) star Conor McGregor has hinted that his much-anticipated boxing debut against undefeated legend Floyd Mayweather is likely to happen in September 2017, contrary to the latter's reported interest for the fight in June.
McGregor, the reigning UFC lightweight champion, is now pursuing a boxing match with the five-weight world champion.
"I'm ready to box", he said.
"[September] is what I'm thinking", McGregor told the LA Times.
'When I step in there, I'm going to shock the whole goddamn world. "Watch me take over boxing, trust me on that", screamed McGregor. "He revealed that he is aiming the fight against Mayweather in September as well as had tried to talk to him in person". That's what the word is. "We're very close to inking it, I'm not going to say no more, we're very close that's it".

At 9.15am, the home currency was trading at 65.42, down 0.08% from its Monday's close of 65.36. The dollar didn't show much reaction, taking its cue instead from the moves in USA yields.
"I'm going to stop Floyd and you're all going to eat your words".
Then, reports emerged that the T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas was booked for June 10 and UFC President Dana White also said that he would not stand in the way of McGregor should he want to get in the ring with Mayweather. "But Floyd has been doing this since he was a child and I really can't see it going any other way". He's petrified. Wouldn't you be? No one knows what to expect with me, and they should not. "I don't know any", he said in quotes appearing in the Mirror. But a more important point in this whole conversation is that the money loving Mayweather's defensive mastery means few meaty shots have ever landed on his chin and a novice boxer like McGregor stands very little chance of finding the elusive target.
Famed boxer is now in Moscow. That would still be five times more than McGregor has ever been guaranteed for a fight, and he would make millions more on pay-per-view revenue.
Everyone has seemingly weighed in on whether they think the fight will actually happen and who they think would win if it does take place.
"Firstly we need to agree a fight and then after we can agree on a place", said Mayweather". "If somehow it turns out the fight will be in Moscow, then I have no problem. I would choose to Moscow, if I were asked today".
