"The evaluation of the possible grounds for impeachment and the decision to file the complaint are the prerogative of the House of Representatives", Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella said Saturday night.

"I never did anything and I will not do anything about it. Magtanong kayo kung sino pagtanungan ninyo". I never lifted a finger against anybody. "Basta may view lang ako doon sa beach tapos may teleskopyo ako, okay na ako", he added. "This is a democracy", Duterte said before leaving for Myanmar and Thailand for official visits.

"I just want to focus on my job as a [President] which you have given me and may I reiterate that I will comply my promises the basic things like for example corruption, drugs, and criminality".

"I will deliver on my promises".

"Even if it would cost me my life, my honor and the presidency".

Alvarez made the threat to impeach Robredo on Friday, claiming the vice president betrayed public trust for maligning the country in a video message before a United Nations meeting on illegal drugs in Vienna, Austria last week. "However, such move coming after the filing of the first impeachment complaint against President Duterte leaves a bad taste", said Villarin in a text message.

Unfazed by the impeachment threat, Robredo ramped up her criticism of the Duterte administration and scored the removal of anti-death penalty lawmakers from their key posts. "Obviously, the carping VP Robredo has joined the ranks of the destabilizers", he said.

Alvarez said he is considering an impeachment complaint against Robredo after he accused her of being behind the complaint against Duterte, the Speaker's longtime friend and political ally.

Trump, Merkel Meet in Oval Office
Trump asserted with a smile they had at least one thing in common: being wiretapped by the Obama administration. Germany spent $37 billion on defense in 2016.

"In the event that the Speaker will initiate the impeachment of VP Robredo, my office will gladly lend its legal services to such endeavor", he noted.

The Palace said an impeachment complaint against Robredo was within the purview of the speaker. They can do their worst; I can do better in my performance as a worker in government.

Meanwhile, Borden said their network had received a written statement from Rep. Earl Blumenauer, member of the US Congress from OR, who that, "What's been happening in the Philippines is horrifying".

Despite facing an impeachment complaint and efforts to bring him before the International Criminal Court (ICC) for summary killings, President Duterte vows that his war on drugs will be sustained, and it will be "brutal".

Human Rights Watch (HRW) Australia recently slammed Ms. Bishop for meeting Mr. Duterte in Davao City, saying, "Bishop should think long and hard before smiling for selfies with someone who could eventually be indicted by the International Criminal Court (ICC)".

Duterte suggested that his political opponents may actually be behind the extrajudicial killings as "scalawags in government. are trying to silence guys dealing with them". Suppression includes all. Kaya nga drop the shabu if you want to be alive, you don't want trouble with the government, stop trafficking!

According to Borden, Blumenauer further said that, "Instead of escalating this violence through chilling episodes like those on display in the Philippines, we need a just and compassionate approach to drug policy that focuses on public health and harm reduction".
