Boris Johnson calls Assad a 'monster' who needs 'decapitating'

Earlier this month the United States fired 59 Tomahawk missiles at a Syrian airbase which was suspected of launching a chemical attack and they have threatened further action.

The US airstrike this month was the first direct military action taken against President Assad by the US.

The finding supported earlier testing by Turkish and British laboratories.

The former foreign minister, Alistair Burt, had pressed Mr Johnson on what his response would be to a similar request in the future and asked whether the Government felt "bound" by a previous vote in 2013.

Western leaders including US President Donald Trump have accused Assad of being behind the attack in the rebel-held town, saying his forces used a chemical weapon during an air strike. The allegations were strongly denied by the Syrian authorities, which, in turn, blamed the militants, claiming it was a false-flag operation. The second is a BBC interview with Peter Ford, former British ambassador to Syria, from April 7. In fact, it seems they were the ones who once again supplied the United States with the faulty intelligence that provoked Trump to attack Syria.

"We have elements that will enable us to show that the regime knowingly used chemical weapons", he said.

Mallya pokes fun at Indian media hype over his arrest
On former IPL chief Lalit Modi, he said, "He also escaped from the clutches of Indian law before Mallya". Kingfisher Airline ceased operating in February 2013 after having their trading license revoked.

Weighing in on the implications of the USA strike, which he praised as an "emphatic message" by the U.S. administration, he alleged that it "has changed the terms of trade" in Syria and lay foundation for "political change".

"The essential thing will be to have a political process that preserves the institutions of the Syrian state while decapitating the monster", he added.

The Foreign Secretary has previously said there will be "no impunity" for the people responsible for the chemical weapons attack.

"The situation requires a group of global experts to make a prompt visit to the scene of the alleged chemical attack as well as to the Shayrat airbase, as our opponents claim that the chemical attack was launched from there", the diplomat said.

Lavrov argued that composition of the missions "runs contrary to the principles of an worldwide organization, the structures of which must be maximally balanced".
