Nintendo Will Launch Nintendo Switch Mini In FY2018, Citigroup Predicts

Nintendo Switch and the console's flagship game, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, are really, really popular.

It is confirmed that more than nine-hundred thousand units of Nintendo Switch was sold last month.

Breath of the Wild is the fastest-selling Nintendo launch title ever and the fastest-selling Zelda title across its entire 30-year history. The Nintendo Switch sold 906,000 SKUs in North America, while the remaining stock of their 2 million SKU supply was split between Japan, Europe and Australia. With the NPD Group's March results nigh, the Nintendo Switch has become the Japanese giant's fastest selling console in the USA, with 906,000 units sold in March.

Putting its sales side-by-side with the Wii U, the Wii U sold 890,000 units in the United States after 41 days. It sold over 1.3 million units between the Switch and the Wii U (where the game also appears); in fact, more copies of the game were actually sold for Switch than consoles to play it on. We still don't have worldwide sales numbers for the console, but Nintendo promised to provide those during its April 27 fiscal earnings report.

Karlsson scores in OT to give Sharks 3-2 win over Oilers
Just like that, a Sharks team that seemed dead in the water heading into this series appears to have acquired a new lease on life. The Oilers had already killed two penalties when Drake Caggiula got flagged for hooking with 14 seconds left in the first period.

The console sold more than 906,000 units in the US last month, the Japanese company said, citing data from industry tracker NPD Group.

Both the Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild broke internal sales records during their release month this past March.

It out-sold every single prior Nintendo product in their first-month release, including the Wii, and the Gameboy Advance. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Arms, Splatoon 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Super Mario Odyssey are all slated to launch this year, which should result in some quality games for Switch owners. Where its long-term game stands has yet to be seen, as it's still working to make the system readily available to buyers interested in it. Switch's numbers, nevertheless, are great considering its a handheld console.
