Juventus have pulled out AS Monaco in the draw for the semi-finals of the Champions League.

In the other semi, 2014/15 finalists Juventus and 2003/04 finalists Monaco will face off for a spot in the final, with Juve playing the first leg away from home.

The first legs take place on May 4, with the return legs on May 11.

Los Blancos have progressed past Napoli and Bayern Munich to reach the last four, while Diego Simeone's men have seen off the challenges of Bayer Leverkusen and Leicester City.

The first round of semi-final matches will take place on May 2-3. With the upcoming semi-finals, they've now made 28.

Real and Juventus are still undefeated in the competition.

Real Madrid beat Atletico in the final in 2014 and 2016.

With United now four points outside the Premier League top four, winning the Europa League for the first time may represent their best chance of qualifying for the Champions League.

Atletico's Estadio Vicente Calderon will now host one last derby, the penultimate game Atletico play there before leaving at the end of this season, and it is a chance to sign off on perhaps the most positive note of all.

The other semi-final will feature Monaco v Juventus.

Which teams do you think will reach the Champions League final, and who do you think will win the competition?

Vadim Vasilyev, the French side's vice-president, said they would be motivated by the bitter memories of being turfed out of the competition by the Italians in 2015 in the quarter-finals. They can feel encouraged by the 1-1 draw they eked out at the Bernabeu in a La Liga match two weekends ago, Antoine Griezmann equalising late on, even if a 3-0 home reverse in November augurs rather less well.
