The president on Tuesday signed a "Buy American, Hire American" executive order that is meant to protect American workers by enforcing immigration laws and cutting out unfair trade practices, which Hannity touted on his show.
The order comes as part of the President Trump's campaign to put "America First".
He said that the order sets in motion the first steps to initiate "long-overdue" reforms to end "visa abuses". He called on the four departments to reform their systems to insure that H1B visas are given only to the "most skilled" or "highest-paid" applicants. "No one can compete with American workers when they're given a fair and level playing field, which has not happened for decades", Leading news agecny PTI quoted Trump as saying.
The White House released a statement which said H-1B visas are supposed to bring the highest skilled and paid labour to the United States.
Samsung reportedly planning rugged Galaxy S8 for AT&T
The Samsung Galaxy S8 has a new approach, as the company has adopted a similar all screen front and widescreen aspect ratio. Bixby is also expected to arrive for other Galaxy devices like Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge and Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
"The idea that Donald Trump is dramatically turning his back on his "America first" policy as well as his comment that the dollar is "too strong" are hurting the United States currency", Lawler said. "The Government's foreign policy has facilitated expansion of workforce within the country through flagship programmes such as "Make in India", "Skill India", "Digital India", by delivering large technological partnerships and enhanced Foreign Direct Investment", Gopal Baglay said.
The executive order also declares that American projects should be made with American goods. "We believe the President's visit emphasizes the need to nurture such manufacturing strength".
There are dissenting voices from Democrats and Republicans in Congress, who claim Trump was too late in his decision to sign off an executive order with this year's batch of visas handed out. The exact nature of the order isn't yet clear, and its legality could of course be contested by the judiciary, but it calls for a "review" of the H-1B visa program "with the goal of reforming the program".
"The H-1B visa program is commonly discussed as being for when employers have a labor shortage", said Daniel Costa, director of immigration law and policy research at the Economic Policy Institute.
The H-1B visa program is designed for foreigners to work for American companies in jobs that usually require higher education - including scientists, engineers or computer programmers. The H-1B visas section included no definite timeline, while the government procurement section did.
