Two Cong leaders join BJP ahead of Delhi civic polls

Lovely's decision to join BJP comes after resentment within the Delhi Congress over ticket distribution for the upcoming MCD polls.

The Congress' Delhi unit on Tuesday released its second part of its three part manifesto for the MCD elections, promising time-bound deliveries of 13 civic services. Then, Sandeep Dikshit said, "Jis tarah se Delhi Congress ne senior netao ke sath bartaav kiya hai wo theek nahi hai (The Delhi Congress did not treat its senior leaders in the right manner)".

Lovely was elected as the general secretary of Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress in 1990. "He should given a thought to what he is doing", he said.

"Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari spends nights in slums, whereas Maken campaigns in Lodhi Garden so that he could quickly go back home".

Recently, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had also demanded withdrawal of the allegedly tampered EVMs brought from Rajasthan for the MCD polls and said only VVPAT equipped voting machines should be used.

Samsung's Galaxy S8 is already a smash hit
Samsung has so much faith in the AI that it added a dedicated button on the left side of the handset to active it. Samsung has also set a sales target of over 60 million units, which is more than what was expected for Galaxy S7.

A day after joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Arvinder Singh Lovely did not mince any words while launching a sharp attack on the Congress, a party he was associated with for more than 30 years.

However, what is most surprising is fact that the BJP has raised the bar for the municipal elections by projecting it as a direct fight between prime minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The BJP also scrutinises the leader and only takes the one who does not come with a baggage, said sources.

"I was feeling suffocated because the Congress has deviated from its objective of serving the people". There was not a single BJP MLA in the previous assembly but in the Assembly elections in 2017, BJP got 36.3 per cent of the votes and won 21 seats. Some of these announcements made on Wednesday for MCD polls mirror the AAP's promises made during the Delhi Assembly polls.
