Former Vice President Joe Biden admitted on Thursday during the SALT conference in Las Vegas that he hadn't thought much of Hillary Clinton's candidacy.

But what was more shocking was Biden's thoughts on the Hillary Clinton as a candidate in the 2016 election.

But the knock on her fitness as the party's standard-bearer candidate was startling considering how tirelessly President Obama and other Democratic luminaries campaigned for her last fall.

Biden still said Clinton would have made a very good president.

"The public is sick of it.This fever has to break", Biden said.

When asked if he would run, he said "Could I? Yes".

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump (L) jokes with retired Gen. Michael Flynn as they speak at a rally at Grand Junction Regional Airport on October 18, 2016 in Grand Junction, Colo.

As for 2020, Biden said he isn't yet willing to rule anything out. Biden said he and Obama often disagreed on policy and even got into "shouting matches".

Accepting Obama's offer to become Vice President wasn't easy and Biden even initially turned the job down.
