The severe storm that hit the Chetek area started to develop about two hours earlier in the St. Paul area, according to meteorologist Mike Griesinger of the National Weather Service in Chanhassen. The storm also brought numerous reports of large hail and strong winds.

According to Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald, at least 25 other people were injured as the storm ripped through the Prairie Lake Estates trailer court near the intersection of Hwys.

First responders searched through the rubble overnight. "At this time, we're just searching the area with the search terms and making sure there's no one injured, then we'll assess the damage", said Sheriff Fitzgerald.

Authorities have released the name of a man who was killed when a tornado tore through a mobile home park in northwestern Wisconsin. Manager Bethany Cross said she definitely noticed more people than usual stop by for lunch over the past two days, and she thinks that's because the crowd was hungry to help.
