Kimberly Guilfoyle: 'Tough to beat' working at Fox

White House Press secretary Sean Spicer gestures while speaking to the media during the daily briefing in the Brady Press Briefing Room of the White House Friday

Kimberly Guilfoyle is openly gunning for Sean Spicer's job as President Donald Trump's press secretary after telling the Bay Area News Group that she's been in conversations with the administration about it, but Fox News said its co-host of "The Five" isn't going anywhere.

Guilfoyle says she hasn't talked specifics with the administration, and the White House isn't commenting. "She noted that she's regularly in touch with members of the administration in the course of her job".

"The challenge they have is that the president sometimes moves so rapidly that they don't get a team around that gets it organized", said Newt Gingrich, the former House speaker and Trump ally. "He's doing a good job but he gets beat up", Trump said.

'Twould be rich. The former first lady of San Francisco, an SF native once married to the potential next liberal Democrat governor of California, is rumored to be next in line to take one of the most thankless job in America, Press Secretary of the White House.

USA extends Iran nuclear deal sanctions relief, imposes new ballistic missile sanctions
President Obama tried to change the situation by offering to lift worldwide sanctions if Iran gave up its nuclear development. The dual announcement of the sanction waivers and new measures could conceivably have some impact on voting intentions.

President Donald Trump wants to put an end to daily press briefings and instead issue written statements, he told Fox News' Judge Jeanina Pirro in an interview on Saturday night. But with Trump as president and Spicer as his press secretary, it is all anger, madness and lies.

Guilfoyle says that while she'd miss her colleagues at Fox in NY, the transition to DC would be an easy one. "I think I enjoy a very straightforward and authentic, very genuine relationship, one that's built on trust and integrity, and I think that's imperative for success in that position".

The sketch opens with Sanders filling in for Spicer, who "went missing" last week following the abrupt firing of FBI Director James Comey.

Several people close to the president say his reliance on a small cadre of advisers as he mulled firing Comey reflects his broader distrust of many of his own staffers. "Now, with rumors boiling in Washington, D.C., about a broad shakeup to Trump's press team following a drumbeat of controversies, Guilfoyle's name has resurfaced". "At the same time, life is exciting and it's about different chapters in your life, so I'm excited about the future".
