14 Latest Forecast Very Wet Spring Storm Impacts Colorado Through Friday Night

A May snowstorm continued to pound the central and northern Rockies on Friday, a day after burying portions of Colorado under three feet of snow. Snow accumulation in Denver will be less than a half-inch today, if any, National Weather Service forecasts. A video posted to Instagram shows a group of residents making the most out of the snow by jumping on their snow buried trampoline and engaging in a friendly snow ball fight.

Several high school graduation ceremonies in the Denver area were postponed due to the storm, KUSA-TV said.

Denver International Airport only saw a trace of snow as of Thursday night, faring better than the high country, which saw up to 31 inches in Estes Park and 38.2 inches in parts of Boulder County, National Weather Service meteorologist Natalie Sullivan said. Farther south, 36 inches of snow has been reported in Allenspark, Colorado, about 65 miles northwest of Denver.

"This is an interesting storm", Koopmeiners said, adding that it's been hard to predict how much snow - and not rain - will hit certain areas.

The highest reported snow total was 38.5 inches (97.79 centimetres) near Ward, Colorado, the National Weather Service said.

After this result, Chelsea went on a 13 game winning streak, which is the second most consecutive wins in Premier League history. But Belgian Batshuayi had other ideas, scoring in the 82nd minute off a cross from Cesar Azpilicueta.

The late-season snow event is not unheard of.

The Colorado National Guard, under executive order of Gov. John Hickenlooper, activated Thursday three "Snow Response Teams" to support local emergency responders in Douglas, Larimer and Weld counties.

Again, this is what everyone in the eastern U.S.is dealing with. "Some of the rain tonight may have a little snow mixed in but it won't amount to anything".

The high is 43 degrees today. Sunday's skies are expected to be mostly sunny, with a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon.
