President Trump says he did not ask Comey to end Flynn investigation

Last week, Trump said that as he was thinking of "this Russian Federation thing", he fired Comey, who was leading the FBI's investigation of the Trump campaign's links to Russian Federation.

The White House has said that Flynn was dismissed for misleading Vice President Mike Pence about a phone call with the Russian ambassador, during which he reportedly discussed ways of softening U.S. sanctions on Russia.

In a memo written in February, Comey wrote that Trump asked him during a one-on-one meeting to stop investigating former national security adviser Michael Flynn, The Times reported.

However, the Senate Intelligence Committee has also formally asked James Comey to hand over all memos relating to his conversations with Donald Trump and appear before it in both open and closed sessions.

A separate letter, addressed to acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, sought notes or memos written by Comey about conversations he had with senior White House and Department of Justice officials related to the Russian Federation investigation.

The Celtics tried many defensive options on James and Love, with little success all night. But until the Cavs actually lose a game, it isn't wise to pick against them.

Flynn served briefly as Trump's national security adviser before he was sacked for lying about his contacts with the Russian ambassador.

The Comey memo is likely to raise questions about whether Trump tried to interfere with a federal investigation. "So I can tell you that we want to bring this great country of ours together".

Obama, shortly after last November's presidential election, reportedly warned Trump not to hire Flynn for the national security post, according to news reports - advice the billionaire businessman failed to heed. "He is a good guy".

If Trump does have taped conversations with Comey, they may well end up as part of an investigation into whether he fired Comey because he wouldn't end the Russia-related investigations.

Chaffetz, in his role as committee chairman, on Tuesday requested any "memoranda, notes, summaries and records referring or relating to any communications between Comey and the president".
