Pro-EU Liberal Democrats promise new Brexit vote

'We will establish a review to consider the case for, and practical implications of, introducing a single rate of tax relief for pensions, which would be created to be simpler and fairer and would be set more generously than the current 20% basic rate relief, ' the manifesto said.

"Perhaps the Lib Dems have put too many eggs in the Brexit basket", he adds.

And in the face of polls suggesting the Lib Dems are failing to make a breakthrough, Mr Farron urged Britons to follow the example of French voters who rejected the "two exhausted old parties" to elect Emmanuel Macron as their new president.
