Senate committee wants Comey to testify

The man tasked with investigating possible meddling by Russian Federation in the 2016 presidential election - a probe that will likely encompass President Trump's recent firing of FBI Director James Comey - once called Comey "one of the finest people I've ever met". Even Sean Hannity will shy away from a lost cause. Dianne Feinstein of California wrote the Justice Department and the White House on Wednesday seeking documents.

Trump abruptly fired Comey last week, raising questions about whether he was attempting to interfere in the ongoing Federal Bureau of Investigation probe into possible coordination between Trump associates and Russian operatives seeking to meddle in last year's presidential election. "That means before rushing to judgment we get all the pertinent information", Ryan said.

While the White House denied access to the meeting to U.S. media, the Russians published photos of Trump smiling and shaking hands with his Russian guests, a move that angered the White House.

Charles Grassley of Iowa and ranking Democratic Sen.

"This is not a truthful or accurate portrayal of the conversation between the president and Mr. Comey", the White House said.

Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader of the Senate, said simply, "It would be helpful to have less drama emanating from the White House". One associate of Flynn told Yahoo News, "These are two men who bonded on the campaign trail".

It has been a busy and tumultuous news week for the White House, as Trump faces accusations, among others, that he shared sensitive national security information with Russian officials.

EU fines Facebook over misleading information
The second time was in December 2016 after the Commission had submitted a Statement of Objections , following Facebook's update. But it said that Facebook had cooperated with the proceedings and acknowledged its infringement.

Rep. Jason Chaffetz, the Republican chair of the House Oversight Committee, is trying to get in touch with former FBI Director James Comey to testify in a public hearing as soon as next week. The existence of the memo was first reported Tuesday by The New York Times.

Trump fired Flynn on February 13, on grounds that he had misled Vice President Mike Pence and other officials about his contacts with Russians.

Trump will begin his first multi-day overseas trip as president on Friday.

It doesn't help things that Flynn's lawyers are not being clear about the level of cooperation Flynn is willing to offer following a subpoena from the Senate Intelligence Committee. "Memos, transcripts, tapes - the list keeps getting longer", he said.

Flynn was forced to resign one day before the conversation between Comey and Trump, after it was revealed that Flynn lied to Vice President Mike Pence about connections he had with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

The Comey firing and the reports of Trump's attempt to curb the Flynn investigation led to calls from lawmakers, Democrats and some Republicans, for appointment a special prosecutor in the Russian Federation investigation.
