Gingrich: 'No Idea' What Trump Meant By Tweet Appearing To Confirm Probe

Gingrich advised Trump against terminating special counsel Robert Mueller, though attacked the former Federal Bureau of Investigation chief for hiring "bad people" to handle the Russian Federation probe.

Gingrich continued: "I don't think they're going to get the president, but they're going to get somebody, and they're going to get him for something".

"Originally [they asked] him, 'have you met with Russians in your campaign role?' said Speaker Gingrich".

"I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director!" Nobody on Capitol Hill has any proof I did anything with the Russians. And now I get an independent counsel.

"Now they're talking about not the Russians".

"They're going to get somebody".

"Trump has a compulsion to counterattack", Gingrich said.

And Ulster Unionist Party leader Robin Swann said the Prime Minister had assured him that the "entire deal will be made public". Barnier dismissed the suggestion of postponing the negotiations and said such a delay would only prompt further instability.

Asked whether Trump was confirming the existence of an investigation into himself using the tweet, Gingrich replied: "I have no idea what he thought he was doing".

Gingrich reversed course from a month ago, when he tweeted praise of Mueller, calling him "a superb choice" to head the Russian Federation investigation.

"I didn't think at the moment he was going to win. As a historian, I don't believe it".

Turns out, even Dianne Feinstein, the ranking Democrat on the Intelligence Committee says there is zero evidence of collusion. On December 19 at 1:56PM, Gingrich voted to impeach President Clinton for obstruction of justice. I'm not a lawyer, but neither is Newt Gingrich (he holds a European history), and if I can google some legal definitions, he should be able to as well.

"I keep telling everybody at the White House, this is not like NY real estate law, this is criminal law", he said. But maybe, maybe there was obstruction. You have this legalistic nightmare trying to block the Trump presidency on behalf of a department in which 97 percent of the money was given to Hillary.

It's clear that Gingrich, along with many other Republican allies of the president, is becoming unhinged as this investigation worsens for Trump. "The president is not a subject or target of an investigation".

Gingrich once praised Special Counsel Robert Mueller on May 17 as a "superb choice" and praised his reputation as "impeccable for honesty and integrity". "We've had no indication of that", Sekulow added. It is a conspiracy theory that has been making the rounds in Washington and in the media for the last few months.
