A resident in a nearby building watches smoke rise from a building on fire in London, Wednesday, June 14, 2017.

She also defended the fire service's advice for people to stay in their flats during tower block fires, saying that evacuating these blocks for every small fire would cause further injuries and hamper efforts to put out smaller blazes.

An action group which warned of fire risks at Grenfell Tower seven months ago has branded the council and the building's management "complacent, negligent and incompetent". "I absolutely get why they're angry".

Hands and Treasury chief Philip Hammond said in separate TV appearances that the cladding used on Grenfell seems to be prohibited by British regulations.

"People won't want to give up easily", she said, adding that officials would likely also encounter other obstacles, like trying to find people who weren't expected to be at the tower or differentiating between siblings where little DNA remains.

Labour Party lawmaker David Lammy demanded that the government and police immediately seize all documents relating to Grenfell's renovation to prevent the destruction of evidence that could show criminal wrongdoing.

This week London Fire Commissioner Dany Cotton said: "This is a large building, there will be a large amount of building work required internally".

A fire that engulfed a London tower block this week killed at least 58 people, police say, as Prime Minister Theresa May admitted the response from the authorities had not been good enough.

"We have colleagues in there as we speak, searching for and recovering those that have died".

Apparently Apple's AR tech is so precise that positioning will be accurate to the milimetre, with accurate sizing and lighting. He described a new augmented reality application which will allow users to virtually try furniture in their home.

The meeting is unlikely to quell complaints that May has been slow to reach out to fire survivors, despite her announcement of a $6.4 million emergency fund to help the displaced families.

But they also claimed in 2005, the emergency lighting system in the staircase at Grenfell Tower was found to be "in a unsafe state of disrepair" after the estate management's board received leaked information.

Afterwards, she said she had "heard their concerns" and ordered immediate action to help them.

She added: "There are people in there, obviously, who have been subject to a very intense fire, and that will make some of the identification very hard, which is why it's even more important that we make sure we do this in a measured, careful and very well managed way". British health authorities say that 19 fire survivors are still being treated at London hospitals, and 10 of them remain in critical condition.

"Our focus has been on those we know were in there [.] However, there may be other people who were in there on the night that others were not aware were there".

Metropolitan Police Commander Stuart Cundy said on Monday that five people had been identified.

Officials are using dental records, fingerprints, DNA samples, tattoos and scars to try and positively identify victims.

The 91-year-old monarch said it is "difficult to escape a very somber mood" on what is normally a day of celebration.

There is simmering anger in the multi-ethnic north Kensington area hit by the blaze, and public fury has been directed at senior government figures, including May, who was jeered Friday after she visited.
