I'm leaving Real Madrid, Ronaldo tells national teammates

Mourinho and Florentino Pérez at loggerheads over Morata

On Friday, Portuguese daily A Bola reported that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid.

This comes after Ronaldo has sent shockwaves through Europe following reports in Portugal that he has made an "irreversible" decision to leave Spain in the wake of tax fraud allegations against him.

Ronaldo has frequently verbally committed himself to Real, and he's made no secret of his love for living in the Spanish capital.

The 31-year-old, who is currently on worldwide duty with Portugal for the Confederations Cup, has been left angered at his treatment by Spanish tax authorities and now wishes to leave the country.

The Portugal global has subsequently been linked with a return to former club Manchester United, having supposedly grown frustrated at the Bernabeu, but Tebas is hoping that the situation is defused by Ronaldo's charges proving to be unfounded.

The Champions League and the La Liga winners claim the former Manchester United man had "always shown a clear will to fulfill all his tax obligations".

Real Madrid won't allow Cristiano Ronaldo to leave in anger. Aside from Manchester United and Barcelona, the next best team in the world would probably be Bayern Munich, managed by former Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti.

HUD Secretary Ben Carson: Give Robert Mueller a chance on Russian Federation probe
A close Trump associate said this week the president was considering firing Mueller , although the White House later denied it. The White House initially claimed that Rosenstein's memo contributed to Trump's decision to fire Comey.

Ronaldo, 32, is alleged to have committed four crimes between the years of 2011 and 2014 by hiding from the treasury the income generated in Spain by his image rights.

Reports in Portuguese newspaper A Bola report that the four time Balon d'Or victor has decided he wants to leave Spain this summer after accusations were pointed in his direction about tax evasion.

He added: "It is not possible to quantify, but would be very important".

Why does he want to leave?

.

Real Madrid appeared to completely back him, but a different picture has since emerged which may suggest why he wants out after eight years at the club.

But Real Madrid, the two-time defending European champion, won't allow Ronaldo to dictate terms of his potential exit.

He reportedly has a €1 billion release clause in his contract.
