More Cosby deposition read into court record

Jurors at Bill Cosby's sexual assault trial have heard excerpts from the comedian's lurid, decade-old deposition, but explosive sections about him obtaining quaaludes and giving them to women before sex are yet to come.

Cosby admitted in the deposition to apologizing to giving Constand pills and touching her in a sexual manner because he thought her family was "coming at me for being a dirty old man", The Daily Beast reported. "But my apology was, 'My God, I'm in trouble with these people because this is an old man and their young daughter".

The cross-examination ended quickly, with McMonagle pointing out that Cosby has consistently maintained since 2005 that Constand did consent.

The former TV icon is facing more than 10-years behind bars if found guilty by a jury for three felony charges of second-degree aggravated indecent assault against the then Temple University employee.

Constand had brought a civil case against Cosby in 2005 after the prosecutors in charge at the time declined to take her allegations to trial. "What are they going to do if I tell them?"

As Cosby walked from the courtroom, a woman yelled: "Bill Cosby, I love you!"

In the deposition, Cosby said he had a "romantic interest" in Constand from the first moment he met her after being introduced by a mutual friend at a Temple University women's basketball game in late 2002.

Cosby eventually settled with Constand for an undisclosed sum, and his deposition was sealed for years, until a judge released parts of it in 2015 at the request of The Associated Press.

In Georgia, a cacophony of arguments could tilt House race
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper reported that Ossoff's Republican opponent, Karen Handel , also condemned the ad. Georgia's 6th district encompasses much of suburban Atlanta and until recently was considered a shoe-in for Republicans.

The lengthy transcript describes how Cosby tried to negotiate with Constand's anguished mother when she had just learned of the alleged incident at Cosby's suburban Philadelphia estate. It's unclear whether Cosby's compromised vision allows him to see either the audience or the jury, but his movements were noticeable, even more so than this morning when a detective read portions of a statement that seemed to have made him uncomfortable.

The defense has highlighted phone records showing that Constand called Cosby 53 times after she says he assaulted her, the AP reports.

"Do you think there would be a financial effect to you if the public believed that you gave Andrea a drug that took away her ability to consent and then had sexual contact with her?" During his civil deposition, Cosby admitted to stockpiling Quaaludes with the sole goal of giving them to "young women he meant to have sexual contact with", reports Daily Mail. According to a motion filed by Bill Cosby's defense team, the comedian didn't know that Constand was gay until he was later informed by police. Cosby said he chose to pursue a friendship with Constand, which he hoped would grow to something more intimate. But Cosby spokesman Andrew Wyatt hinted Friday that his boss might be changing his mind.

The New York Timesreported on Friday, however, that a spokesperson said Cosby may, in fact, testify.

Cosby was accompanied Friday by comedian Joe Torry, who a day earlier joined fellow actor and comedian Lewis Dix in support of the 79-year-old actor.

When she confronted Cosby on the phone, Gianna Constand, the accuser's mother, had demanded to know what kind of pills Cosby had used.
