Ronaldo, 32, has just enjoyed one of his most successful seasons yet for Real Madrid.

The four-time Ballon d'Or victor is believed to be keen to leave Madrid this summer due to allegations from the Spanish tax authorities that he defrauded them of €14.8m (£12.9m).

"I know Cristiano, he's a good guy as a professional and as a person.
