The best data for Trump, and the polling numbers he featured in a Friday morning tweet, is the 50 percent approval rating he received from Rasmussen. The problem is, that unless Trump is comparing his one outlier poll to Obama's approval on some random obscure date, then the remainder of his tweet is a blatant lie.

For the second time in as many days, President Trump touted the results of a Rasmussen Reports poll that put his approval rating at 50%.

President Trump cited right-leaning Rasmussen Reports in a tweet on Sunday while discussing his approval rating.

The AP questionnaire worked to get to the bottom of what motivated or informed that disapproval, finding that 65 percent of respondents believed that Trump had no respect for democratic institutions. Trump's disapproval rating was 55.4 percent in the FiveThirtyEight average, which accounts for a poll's quality, sample size and any partisan leanings.

While 51 percent of Democrats hold a favorable opinion of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, 43 percent of Republicans share that view. In fact, Obama never polled at lower than a 53 percent approval rating the entire month of June in the survey.

Russian Federation threatens USA aircraft, cuts hotline
The announcement comes as tensions escalate following the USA downing of a Syrian military jet near Raqqa yesterday. A "hotline" for Russian and US military officials to talk about activity within the zones was established in 2015 .

Two in five Texas voters believe Russia influenced the 2016 presidential election; those who did were predominantly Democrats and, unsurprisingly, believe that the Russian influence was beneficial to Donald Trump. A meager four percent of Democrats think the President to be honest.

Thirty-one percent of those polled strongly approve of his performance, while 42 percent strongly disapprove.

Drudge has been relatively more active on Twitter since Trump's inauguration on January 20, primarily deriding Republicans on Capitol Hill for its slow pace implementing GOP legislative issues.

Eight years after it first appeared forcefully on the national political scene, the Tea Party remains influential with Texas voters, with 16 percent saying they would vote for a congressional candidate from the Tea Party over Republicans and Democrats if that were an option.

Texas opinions were divided with 39 percent holding a favorable view of the existing health care law and 49 percent an unfavorable view. Nearly 30 percent said they had neutral or no opinion about the House plan, while only 13 percent were neutral on Obamacare. Numbers in charts might not add up to 100 percent because of rounding.
