In midst of developing reports that President Donald Trump is under investigation by Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller for possible obstruction of justice, the president has added a legal voice who is a familiar presence on conservative media.

"There is not an investigation of the President of the United States".

"Here's what you're trying to do, Chris", Sekulow said.

But right after making that declaration, the interview took an interesting and confusing twist: Sekulow then said - twice - that the president is being investigated.

Wallace: You just said that he's being investigated.

Chris Wallace was not the only anchor to dunk on Trump's lawyer this weekend, as Jake Tapper questioned Sekulow about Trump's tweet.

Trump regularly praises the Fox News morning show on Twitter but that didn't stop co-host Brian Kilmeade from challenging the president's Twitter usage.

Sixers in position to grab Markelle Fultz with No
Celtics fans have been leery about moving back, particularly with all the buzz about likely No. 1 pick Markelle Fultz . With an additional pick in 2018 or 2019 as well, the cupboard continues to be stocked in Boston.

Sekulow renewed the suggestion that Trump fired the Federal Bureau of Investigation director at the recommendation of the deputy attorney general.

"Sir, you've just said two times that he's being investigated", Wallace said.

"If in fact it's correct that the president is being investigated, he's being investigated for taking an action that an agency told him to take".

Sekulow: No, Chris, I said that - let me be crystal clear so you completely understand. "That is protected under the constitution", Sekulow argued. "You don't know whether he's under investigation or not".

"No, he's not being investigated", Sekulow interjected. "Which I don't read minds".

Sekulow joined Trump's personal legal team, which includes Marc Kasowitz, Trump's go-to lawyer for years on both personal and business matters; Mark Bowe, who works with Kasowitz; and newly hired John Dowd, a well-known DC-based attorney. "I don't think you should be rushing the stage, period, whether you agree or not".
