The encounter between security forces and terrorists that started this morning in the Tral area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district is still going on.

A senior police officer said the bodies of the terrorists were yet to be recovered and that the exchange of fire is continuing.

"The dead militants look like foreigners, probably belonging to Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) outfit", Vaid said.

Army sources had earlier said that three militants were killed in the ongoing operation in Satoora forests of Tral area.

Mohammad Hassan Shah, claimed that the slain militants caused "huge damage" to the forces. The encounter broke out when the hiding terrorists opened fire on the security personnel. A pistol, pistol rounds, four grenades and one knife were also recovered from the terrorist.

The intelligence report further suggested that several suicide bombers are now reportedly planning to strike the Valley. The meeting came just five days after at least seven pilgrims were killed by militants while they were on their way returning from the Amarnath shrine.
