All Kashmiris Are Not Terrorists, Said Rajnath Singh In Twitter Exchange

Notably, while praising Kashmiris for condemning the attack, Singh said that this will restore India's faith in the composite of Kashmir.

Amid the stand-off on the border with China, Minister of State in the PMO Jitendra Singh on Wednesday said that India is today better equipped to meet challenges than it was in 1962.

To which Singh replied, "Ms Kalra I certainly do". Six of the dead were women.

Terming the United Jihad Council (UJC)'s condemnation of the attack as "healthy", Singh said one "good thing which came out of the attack" was that nobody was "apologetic" while denouncing it.

The fact of the matter is: it shouldn't be extraordinary for the home minister of the country to quell unrest and anxiety amid such dire straits and grave security lapses leading to a heinous attack on a bunch of innocent pilgrims. We need to remind ourselves that the corrosion of conversation has reached such an alarming proportion in the country that any tweet, any quote, any line that's remotely civilised and polite appears to be visionary and exemplar to our tired and exhausted eyes.

Garbine Muguruza beats Rybarikova to reach Wimbledon final
Initially she played for fun, not that she climbed up to the world No.2 in the junior rankings, it is about winning tournaments. Muguruza came through her first three matches comfortably, defeating Alexandrova, Wickmayer and Cirstea without dropping a set.

After the suspected militant attack on Amarnath pilgrims on Monday night, the government found itself in a hard position as it was expected to explain the security lapses in Kashmir.

"Every section of the society in Kashmir has condemned the unfortunate cowardice act of terror on the Amarnath pilgrims".

Asked if terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was behind the attack, he said it had been confirmed by the security agencies, but the investigation was still on.

This morning, the Home Minister held a review of security in Jammu and Kashmir and ordered tighter security for pilgrims visiting the Amarnath caves deep in the Himalayas.

But she deleted the tweet after Singh's reply to her. He also congratulated the people of Jammu and Kashmir for the resilience shown in last 25 years.
