CSK and RR to return

The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Friday welcomed the IPL franchises - Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) - back into the League.

Dhoni had captained the side in the past. Watch the picture here. We are already looking forward to IPL in 2018.

However, the two teams were banned by the Supreme Court-appointed Lodha Committee after the 2015 edition for their involvement in betting and spot-fixing. Dhoni captained RPS in the first season but it was a very unsuccessful campaign. The handle on twitter which has not been that much active for a while has started buzzing again with lot of fans expressing their happiness and pleasure to see their team making the comeback.

Dhoni shared the image on his Instagram page.

"Not just Fleming, we are expecting that other members of the support staff will also join us", said an official. "I wish the team management can bring back all the players who turned out for CSK", he said, adding there were plans to organise mass feeding at some orphanages and blood donation camps in the days to come. After being dropped as Rising Pune Supergiant skipper going into the auction ahead of this year's edition, he was openly criticised by owner Sanjiv Goenka's brother Harsh after the team's opening game against Mumbai Indians.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni will enjoy a few more days as he will join the one-day team in August. We have followed all the BCCI guidelines and are gearing up for an exciting season.

On Saturday, MS Dhoni uploaded a picture in yellow jersey, with number 7 and "Thala" written on his back.

"It is my privilege to welcome back our franchisees, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, into the 11th edition of the IPL", IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla said. Ever since the ban on Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals has been officially over, the hype around their playing in next season has picked up.
