North Carolina and Duke each got four first-place votes in the Coastal Division, but the Tar Heels are picked to finish fifth in the division and the Blue Devils are voted to finish in sixth place. Defending national champion Clemson followed with 37 first-place votes and 1,007 points while Louisville received nine first-place votes and checked in with 843 total points.

Not only is Trubisky gone, UNC will have to replace its top two running backs, top three wide receivers and three starters on the offensive line. They also led the way with 1, 065 points. Virginia Tech was the eventual champion.

Want your voice heard? Florida State and Miami have never met in the ACC Championship Game. The Seminoles received 117 votes to win the conference. Clemson defensive end Christian Wilkins was third in the voting for that award.

Reigning Heisman Trophy victor Lamar Jackson of Louisville was chosen to repeat as ACC Player of the Year after a record-setting 2016 campaign in which he averaged 393.4 yards per game of total offense and accounted for 51 touchdowns, both ACC single-season records.

Miami will begin the season September 2 against Bethune-Cookman. Not the least of which being that league officials expected Florida State and Miami to be regular representatives in the the game.
