Brides-to-be left scrambling after nationwide gown store abruptly shuts down

Popular bridal shop Alfred Angelo has closed its Cherry Hill location as part of an abrupt nationwide shutdown late this week, sending brides in New Jersey and across the country scrambling to find wedding dresses.

At some Alfred Angelo locations, customers are allowed to pick up their dresses. The lawyer handling the case says she has received more than 7,000 emails about it.

The store had to help the women replace their chosen dresses.

The front doors of the store had a note, telling clients to email the company.

As important as the dress is, Martin said she hopes those who weren't as lucky have a happy ending no matter what. The offer is not available online, but customers are invited to browse our broad selection of gowns at www.davidsbridal.com, including exclusive David's Bridal collections from designers like White by Vera Wang and Truly Zac Posen as well as bridesmaids collections in top trending colors, all at an exceptional value.

The company reportedly filed for bankruptcy and has not posted any information about the store closures on its website or official social media accounts.

New Hampshire may see lovely northern lights show Sunday night
If the sky is clear enough and other factors are in place, there's a chance all of MI could get a view of the Northern Lights. The particles interact with molecules of atmospheric gases to cause the famed glowing red and green colors of the aurora.

David's Bridal is also offering a discount for anyone who may have purchased a dress at Alfred Angelo.

But on Friday, the retail chain shut its doors. Redmond said she wanted it that way, to be sure customers got a response.

"They're literally filing for bankruptcy", said Pucci.

Brides who have not received dresses are being told to call Redmond at 561-742-7717.

Customers got less than a day's notice to come get their dresses before the company goes out of business.

"There was a blush one that I really liked and it looked really vibrant and when I put it on it was ideal, which is rare when trying on dresses", Wilkowski said.
