They joined their parents in Canada previous year for an official trip.

William and Kate will start their visit with a stroll along Warsaw's iconic Krakowskie Przedmieście street after meeting President Andrzej Duda and the First Lady.

On Monday, the initial focus was not on politics but on the royal arrival, as Prince William and his wife deplaned and gave the world its latest much-anticipated look at Prince George and his little sister, Princess Charlotte. It is the third tour for Prince George, who turns 4 this month, who accompanied his parents to Australia and New Zealand in 2014 as a toddler.

On Wednesday, they'll head to Berlin, Germany where they'll meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel and will also visit the Holocaust Museum.

Prince William and Kate will also meet survivors of the Holocaust and Nazi oppression.

The appearance of Team Cambridge, of course, may not sway negotiations, but the Foreign Office believes it will help strengthen bilateral ties once the United Kingdom finally quits the EU.

William and Kate will cox opposing rowing teams in the race with crews from Cambridge and Heidelberg.

In March, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent two days in Paris, on their first official visit there as a couple to solidify the relationship between France and the U.K. The trip also marked William's first official visit to the city since his mother, Princess Diana, died in a vehicle crash there in August 1997.

They were in Warsaw only a day after attending the Wimbledon Men's Singles Final where Roger Federer took home the title.

In a series of tweets, Kensington Palace said, "The tour will encompass cultural and geographic highlights of both countries, from the Gdansk Shakespeare Theatre to the Neckar river" and that "their Royal Highnesses will take time during the tour to acknowledge the complex 20th century history of each country". On Saturday, William and Harry participated in a charity polo match to raise funds for several of their charities.
