Relocations prove lucrative for other 29 NFL franchises

The Rams and Chargers franchises are on the hook for payments of $645 million each, with the Raiders franchise having to pay a relocation fee of $378 million.

Oakland, who will move to Las Vegas, will start paying their fees the year they move.

When the Houston Oilers moved to Tennessee before the 1997 season, their estimated relocation fee was a reported $30 million.

The relocation of several National Football League teams in a four year span will result in a major profit for the other 29 franchises, even if it has come at the expense of multiple scorned and disheartened fan bases.

As far as the relocation fees, the Rams and Chargers have until the end of the 2019 season to decide whether to pay it upfront or over a 10-year period. Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy told Rovell the 29 teams will begin receiving payments will arrive December 31, 2019.

Aiden McGeady completes transfer from Everton to Sunderland
The Republic of Ireland global signed for Everton in January 2014, following spells with Celtic and Spartak Moscow . Sunderland have announced the double signing of Aiden McGeady and James Vaughan .

The Chargers moved from San Diego and will play in 30,000 seat StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. until the stadium is built for them and the Rams is complete.

Jerry Jones' Dallas Cowboys, by the way, remained the most valuable franchise in the world at $4.2 billion, or $500 million more than the second-place New York Yankees.

The Rams relocated to Los Angeles starting with the 2016 season after spending the previous 21 years in St. Louis.

The franchise experienced a 47 percent spike over the past year, up to $2.1 billion.

Moving away is expensive, but it certainly seems worth the price for all parties involved.
