Senate GOP releases revised health care bill

Trump singled out Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., who has struggled to gain enough GOP support to pass the health care legislation through the Republican-controlled Senate.

While these senators have spoken out against aspects of the bill, like Medicaid cuts, in theory, none of them has said whether they'll be the third senator to vote "no", keeping the legislation from passing.

While insurers successfully influenced the legislation when it comes to individual insurance markets, the fact that they and hospital groups largely struck out on Medicaid is important because the new provisions shift more costs back to the states and hospitals. If that doesn't pass, there is no vote on the bill itself. He spent three weeks reworking the measure.

McConnell wants to have a vote next week on a motion to proceed on this bill - a procedural step to start debate on the legislation.

Trump, who is in France attending Bastille Day celebrations with French President Emmanuel Macron, made the remarks in a series of early Friday morning tweets.

Lee and Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, had been working together on what they called the Consumer Freedom Amendment, meant to allow health insurers to offer some limited, lower-cost plans that don't comply with Obamacare requirements. Even after Republican leadership agreed to include the $45 billion over 10 years the senator had requested to address the opioid crisis, his press secretary Emily Benavides was noncommittal, saying Senator Portman still had "concerns about how the bill impacts Medicaid".

The firm had revenue of $2.71 billion during the quarter, compared to analysts' expectations of $2.78 billion. The same analysts are predicting that the company shares will trade to $6.75 within the next 12-18 months.

He said the GOP senators are right to be cautious, especially given reports from federal experts that millions of people would lose their health care coverage and others may end up paying higher costs. With "something that's really good and that people are going to like" - and by being "very angry" if the Senate, which is expected to take up the issue again next week, fails to present a really good, eminently likable something to him. "The BCRA will make health care less available or affordable, especially for our most vulnerable Idahoans: Our children, the elderly, and those with pre-existing conditions".

Nurses, doctors and home care workers have traveled to Washington DC to speak with House and Senate members directly about the Trumpcare bills.

President Donald Trump said Wednesday he will be "very angry" if Republicans - now struggling to cobble together sufficient support - fail to pass health care reform legislation. She also said health care reform should go through the normal committee process.

Speaking to Bloomberg News on Thursday, Sen.

That's the question smart conservatives are asking themselves after looking at the language of the revised health care bill he released on Thursday.

"As a conservative, I won't support the new federal spending or entitlements or bailouts", Paul told reporters shortly after the revised draft was released Thursday.
