WhatsApp service was disrupted in China

In November 2016, in-app video calls were rolled out - which was a popular decision: The company cites that its 1.2 billion users spend more than 340 million minutes each day making video calls. Yeah well, watching videos on WhatsApp can get pretty inconvenient at times as the social messaging app doesn't support YouTube videos yet.

We recently heard that WhatsApp had started to support more file types and now it looks like more features are coming to the messaging app. The latest beta update of the app has received some hidden features and in-app YouTube playback is one of them.

The support for YouTube video playback is discovered by WABetaInfo. It can be put into fullscreen mode by pinching on the video. Users can resize window with a pinch or can play videos in full screen mode.

Panama Papers: Pak PM Nawaz Sharif rejects JIT findings, calls investigation biased
But PM Sharif's ruling PML-N party insists the wealth was acquired legally, through family businesses in Pakistan and the Gulf. In the present case, Sharif's colossal political mandate was seen as nothing less than a threat to the security establishment.

WhatsApp may be now testing a new feature that could save a few headaches.

WhatsApp for iOS will soon allow users to watch YouTube videos directly within the app. This is because; these devices have significantly bigger screens, which is important for this particular feature to work well.

The ability to edit and delete messages have both been tested by WhatsApp in past preview versions and both are still absent from the main app. This feature was announced only last week for Android and now is available to iPhone users. We can't verify this info at this point, but if it's true, we expect that it would make its way to Android also.
