Don't Look Now But The Rally Cat Cardinals Are Back In The Race

The St. Louis Cardinals said a kitten that ran onto the field, spurring their comeback win on Wednesday has gone missing.

The streaking Cardinals have won seven games in a row overall and, including the contest in which Molina hit the grand slam, have captured three straight victories since the cat appeared.

Happy Caturday! You may have already heard about the determined kitten zooming across the field during the August 9 game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals.

Mark your calendars, because St. Louis' favorite cat is about to get a day of his own at Busch Stadium.

"As everyone observed during last night's game, Lucas Hackmann, a member of our grounds crew, secured the stray cat in the outfield and exited the playing surface at the left field gate and walked up towards the main concourse at Gate 3".

Federer downs Bautista Agut to reach Rogers Cup semfinals; Haase advances
Federer hammered five aces, made just two double faults and won 81% of his first serve points in the 68-minute centre court match. Shapovalov, who needed a wild card to gain entry into the tournament, takes on Frenchman Adrian Mannarino later in the day.

Whether it was stolen, lost, accidentally let go, or what is still mostly unclear. We understand from media accounts that the woman meant to take it home and care for it, but lost track of it in City Garden.

Worry no more. Rally Cat has been found. They're going to have Rally Cat Appreciation Day on Sunday, Sept. 10.

But that doesn't really matter now seeing as Rally Cat has returned, to be shrouded in roses and be celebrated in the annals of Cardinals history.

"I thought, 'I'm taking this cat home".
