Army and police personnel continued search and rescue operations, with more than 34,000 houses submerged, the official added. Last weekend in the central lowlands, four girls from the same family drowned when they fell into a flooded roadside ditch.

In recent days، Trump and the North Korean regime have engaged in heated rhetoric about the Asian nation's nuclear weapons program.

According to the White House, Trump and Xi affirmed that the recent adoption of a new UN Security Council resolution regarding North Korea was an important and necessary step toward achieving peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.
