Long Island police investigate triple homicide in Hempstead

The deceased have been identified as Lynn Reichenbach-Vanderhall, 58, who was the suspect's mother; 29-year-old Melissa Vanderhall, the suspect's sister; and 29-year-old Janel Simpson, who was staying at the home at the time, according to relatives.

Vanderhall was arraigned on Sunday, and is charged with three counts of second degree murder and one count of attempted murder.

Fitzpatrick said Vanderhall had a history of "emotional issues" and had on two occasions been taken from his mother's home to a medical center.

The fourth woman was later taken to the hospital and is in critical condition, reports said.

"His behavior became more unruly, more violent", said Fitzpatrick, as reported by the New York Daily News. "His mother had enough". He obtained a large hammer.

'When he came here last night, the doors were secured and he became enraged, ' said Lt Fitzpatrick.

Xavi endorses Barcelona's pursuit of Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele
Late last week, Dembele went AWOL with rumours rife that Barcelona had upped their bid for the French attacker. Dortmund announced that no deal had been agreed and that they could not find the player.

"He went to the garage". "With this framing hammer he broke through the basement door into the residence".

According to police, Vanderhall was found sleeping in a vehicle within two miles of the crime scene and was arrested, police say.

Nassau cops are searching for a "person of interest" in what they described as the targeted killings of three women in a Hempstead home. Police said she was also 29 years old. "She kept saying, 'He's trying to kill us!"

Denis Simpson said his daughter had worked late as a secretary at Northwell Health and then went to her friend's house to hang out.

Vanderhall walked upstairs and bludgeoned his mother to death in the living room. "They had fun. That's consolation that they lived", the father told NBC.

He described his daughter and her friends as fun-loving women who went to Carnival in Trinidad and were planning to visit Cuba in the fall.
